PostScript, CUPS and IPP
BARZ_OUT provides PostScript conversion so any PostScript-compatible printer can output bar codes without additional drivers, fonts, middleware or programming. BARZ_OUT Pro also supports the CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) standard and the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). CUPS and IPP provide advanced output management, networking, printer discovery and remote configuration features and let BARZ_OUT Pro users print from any version of Linux or UNIX.

Efficient, cost-effective network barcode solution
BARZ_OUT PRO can be used on virtually all popular UNIX and Linux operating systems (see chart below for complete list ). There is no need for any new hardware or networking software: BARZ_OUT PRO is much less expensive than adding DIMMs, SIMMs or hardware modules. And it can be accessed from any point on your network and printed to any printer on your network. It's the most efficient and cost-effective way to add barcodes to your documents!

1D and 2D barcodes
BARZ_OUT PRO
prints many common 1D and 2D symbologies (see chart below for complete list ) including Code 39, Code 128 and UCC-EAN with application identifiers. Barcode height and density are easily adjustable. And with laser printers, BARZ_OUT PRO can rotate barcodes 180 degrees or 90 degrees in either direction, and adjust height in hundredths of an inch.

Works directly with Oracle Reports
BARZ_OUT PRO
quickly and easily adds barcodes to Oracle Reports output. No programming is necessary. Oracle users will especially appreciate the text enhancement capabilities (see below).

Text capabilities for existing printers
Enhanced printer support capabilities enable the use of virtually any graphics-capable networked printer (see chart below for partial list ). Text modifications (boldface, italics, underline, different font sizes and reversed — white on black), all without the need for additional fonts.

Easy operation
BARZ_OUT PRO can be run directly from the command line or from a shell out of your own application. Barcodes are enabled simply by providing trigger characters around the data to be barcoded, and then defining those triggers in a configuration file. BARZ_OUT PRO scans printer data for the trigger characters and replaces the data with barcodes in accordance with specified parameters. The Configuration program can be run at any time to change operating parameters.

Use transparent to end users
Operation is completely transparent to end users. BARZ_OUT PRO runs in the background, so users aren't even aware that it is running.

e-Version available
If you need to add barcodes to Web documents (for printing at remote locations not connected to your in-house network, for instance), e-BARZ PRO is a great choice! Also a servers-based solution, it produces graphic images that can be viewed and printed at any PC with an Internet browser — anywhere in the world.

BARZ_OUT PRO™ - Add bar codes to printed documents!
Read what current users are saying about BARZ_OUT PRO.

"BARZ_OUT was simple enough to use that we were printing sample bar codes in less than half an hour."
Tom Fuchs, Edmo Distributors
Spokane, Washington

"I was intrigued because Unibar software runs on UNIX and supports Oracle... the installation would require a minimum effort on my part and I could add barcodes where I wanted to put them on any of our documentation — pick slips, packing slips, whatever."
Bob Wagner, Gear for Sports
Lenexa, Kansas

"I discovered Unibar's BARZ_OUT, which runs on top of existing applications and puts bar codes on any document where needed. All I had to do was insert a 'tilde' in the program before the SKU number... The paperwork now has a barcode wherever there is an SKU."
Dennis Dietzel, Shroeder Milk
St. Paul, Minnesota

"We are using the barcode produced by Unibar's software to confirm our picklists for two reasons. It saves time by eliminating the need to key in the six digit picklist number. And the barcode also ensures accuracy."
Karl Ribbens, Vermeer Manufacturing
Pella, Iowa
